1) Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how LocalPiano (“the App”, “we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you use the Android application. We are committed to a privacy-first, offline gameplay experience.

2) Information We Collect

We do not collect personal information on our servers. LocalPiano does not require account creation, login, phone number, or email to play.

• Stored locally on your device: game settings, scores, XP/progression, selected preferences, and gameplay state.
• Audio chosen by you: processed locally to generate gameplay. Files are not uploaded by the app.

3) How We Use Information

Local data is used only to make core features work:

• Run gameplay and song-based tile generation
• Save your progress, preferences, and unlocks
• Provide in-game effects such as haptic feedback and difficulty behavior

We do not use your data for advertising profiles, tracking, or third-party analytics.

4) Permissions and File Access

• File access: LocalPiano uses Android’s Storage Access Framework (system file picker), so you select specific files manually. We do not request broad “all files” access by default.
• Vibration: Used only for in-game haptic feedback.

5) Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data with third parties for advertising or analytics. If future versions include third-party SDKs (ads/analytics/crash reporting), this policy will be updated before release.

6) Data Retention and Deletion

Since game data is stored locally on your device, retention is controlled by you.

• Clear app data in Android settings to remove local game data.
• Uninstalling the app also removes local app storage data associated with it.

7) Security

We take reasonable measures to protect local app data. Because the app is primarily offline and does not transmit personal data to our servers, network exposure is minimized.

8) Children’s Privacy

LocalPiano is intended for a general audience (all ages). We do not knowingly collect, store, or share personal information from children or adults. The app does not require account signup and is designed to function offline.

9) International Users

The app is operated from India. As designed, personal data is not transmitted to our servers. Local gameplay data remains on your device.

10) Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page.
